Aleksandra Pisarek - Best Poster Award and research visit to Germany
We are pleased to announce two significant successes for our PhD student mgr inż. Aleksandra Pisarek. She won the Best Poster Presentation award at the "Workshop on Aerogel Characterization and Modelling" (29-31.03.2023, Debrecen, Hungary) and won the Short Term Scientific Mission - Aerogel COST Action grant.

The award-winning poster presentation was titled "Influence of the initial synthesis chemical composition on the gelation kinetics of MTMS-based aerogels," Its authors were Aleksandra Pisarek, Nina Borzęcka, Bartosz Nowak and Jakub Gac.
As part of the Short Term Scientific Mission - Aerogel COST Action grant. Aleksandra Pisarek will be a research intern at the University of Cologne and the German Space Center (DLR) in the group of Prof. Barbara Milow. The research topic is: "Investigation of vulcanization and drying method influence on the mechanical and structural properties of the VTMS-based aerogel".
