| Course title |
Basic Chemical Technology |
| Lecturer |
prof. dr hab. in¿. Ryszard Marcinkowski |
| Semester |
Winter |
| Description |
The course comprises the description of typical process structures based on some examples from chemical industry discussed as case studies, and methods of development of chemical processes. |
| Prerequisites |
Chemical thermodynamics and kinetics, basic processes of chemical engineering. |
| Course content |
Using of heuristic technological rules for screening chemical process alternatives and for qualitative optimisation of process structures. Examples of typical structures resulting from these rules. The development of the process from laboratory scale to industrial plant. Scale-up methods. Description of some typical industrial processes as case studies. |
