The lecture deals with basis of ecology, sources and characteristics of air, water and soil pollution and the processes of pollutants removal. |
| Prerequisites |
The knowledge of fundamental processes of chemical engineering as well as process thermodynamics and process kinetics is assumed. |
| Course content |
Ecology and ecosystems; mass and energy cycles; sources of air pollution; air pollutants transformations in the atmosphere; processes of dust and gas pollutants removal from air; sources and characteristics of wastewaters; self purification of water; methods of wastewaters treatment; kinds of solid wastes; methods of solid wastes management. |
