Course title Fundamentals of Envirinmental Protection

Description The lecture deals with basis of ecology, sources and characteristics of air, water and soil pollution and the processes of pollutants removal.
Prerequisites The knowledge of fundamental processes of chemical engineering as well as process thermodynamics and process kinetics is assumed.
Course content Ecology and ecosystems; mass and energy cycles; sources of air pollution; air pollutants transformations in the atmosphere; processes of dust and gas pollutants removal from air; sources and characteristics of wastewaters; self purification of water; methods of wastewaters treatment; kinds of solid wastes; methods of solid wastes management.
