The course deals with the secondary and advanced water and wastewater treatment processes. |
| Prerequisites |
The knowledge of environmental protection processes, fundamental processes of chemical engineering, mathematics (ODE), as well as process thermodynamics and process kinetics is assumed. |
| Course content |
Aeration; biological wastewater treatment processes (biological beds, activated sludge processes); chemical treatment processes (neutralization, reduction, oxidation, disinfections); membrane separation processes (microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, reverses osmosis, electrodialysis). |
