Course title Process Kinetics
Lecturer prof. dr hab. inż. Stanisław Wroński
dr inż. Ewa Dłuska
dr hab. inż. Eugeniusz Molga
mgr inż. Anna Adach
Semester Winter
Description The course deals with fundamentals of transport phenomena. It includes basic knowledge of momentum, energy and mass transfer, also with simultaneous chemical reaction.
Prerequisites The knowledge of mathematics (calculus, vector analysis, ODE and PDE), as well as physics, chemistry and physical chemistry, thermodynamics and kinetics of chemical reactions is assumed.
Course content Fluids flow phenomena in simple and dispersed systems. Principles of heat transfer, including special convection. Principles of mass transfer. Mass transfer in dispersed and porous systems. Kinetics of chemical reactions in homogeneous systems. Mass transfer with simultaneous chemical reaction in heterogeneous fluid-fluid and fluid-solid state systems.
