General knowledge of classical mechanics, electromagnetisms and modern physics. Elements of differential and integral calculus. Computer skills. |
| Course content |
Investigations of absorption and fluorescence. Emission spectra. Rydberg constant determination. Measure of light and microwave wavelength by means of various methods. De Broglie hypothesis verification (case for electrons in motion). Investigation of photoelectric effect. Measure of simple harmonic motion. Investigation of anharmonic motion of physical pendulum. Investigation of electron motion in electric and magnetic fields. Determination of the value of e/m ratio. Hall effect investigation. Magnetic properties of solids. Temperature dependence of resistivity of metal and semi-conductors. g rays absorption. Scintillation detector: identification of the nuclides and determination of the energy of b and g decays. |
