The course covers fundamentals of physical chemistry with special focus on phase equilibria (gas-liquid, liquid-liquid, gas-solid, liquid-solid). |
| Prerequisites |
The knowledge of physics, chemistry and mathematics is assumed. Basic knowledge of programs such as Excel and Mathcad is an asset. |
| Course content |
Fundamentals on properties of gases, liquids and solids, chemical thermodynamics, thermochemistry, chemical bonds theory, transport phenomena, phase and chemical equilibria, chemical kinetics, electrolyte solutions and electrochemical cells theory, molecular spectra. The course comprises of lectures and tutorials. |
