The course deals with the cost analysis in chemical industry on the order of magnitude and study estimates level. |
| Prerequisites |
The knowledge of unit operations (fluid flow, heat exchange, distillation, extraction, absorption) is assumed. |
| Course content |
Estimation of Total Capital Investment and Total Manufacturing Cost on order of magnitude and study estimate level. Cost equations for typical units and chemical plants. Analysis of profit for chemical plant - break even point. |
