The course deals with the basic concepts of chemical process control and automation. |
| Prerequisites |
Mathematics (differential equations, matrix algebra, Laplace and Fourier transforms). Basic processes of chemical engineering. |
| Course content |
Elementary and complex control loops, optimal and hierarchical control systems. Controller types, criteria of regulation process quality, methods of controller setting. Examples of standard control devices (controllers, transducers, valves etc.) |
